Mudgeeraba is the hidden gem at the foothills of the Gold Coast Hinterland and gateway to world-famous Lamington National Park.
On your way to the Museum:
Have a coffee in town (many great cafe locations)
Have lunch at the pub or many diverse local restaurants
Visit some of Mudgeeraba's other attractions
The Wallaby Hotel, an historic local landmark, is a great place for lunch or dinner and a few beers, as is the local Woodchoppers Inn restaurant. Visit the Mud Brick Cottage Herb Farm just down the road, or enjoy Mudgeeraba's historic village centre or Heritage Museum. There's also the Mudgeeraba 2nd Light Horse Museum adjacent to the show grounds.
On the way to Springbrook there's also the Boomerang Farm Golf Course and Polly's Kitchen and gardens. Mudgeeraba also hosts many great events such as the Mudgeeraba Show, Car Shows and Swap Meets, major regional sporting carnivals and markets. You can also picnic at Little Nerang Dam, or picnic fish and kayak at Hinze Dam.
Easily accessible off the M1, yet retaining it's beautiful heritage character and feel from it's dairy farming and timber getting days.
